Project Summary: Conversion of Georgian townhouses facing Leith Walk with 60,000 square feet extension to the rear to form 240 key hotel with dining options, a boardroom for up to 16 persons, designated media pods and a fitness centre for hotel guests. Development of a new 240-bedroom Courtyard by Marriott on Baxter’s Place, Edinburgh. The hotel has been created from the conversion of a terrace of A listed Georgian town houses with the addition of a large and contemporary new build extension to the rear. Together with the bedroom accommodation the hotel provides a brasserie, bar, business and conference facilities.

This was only the second Marriott Courtyard in Scotland and the third in the UK as a whole. The derelict town houses have been sympathetically restored and when combined with the new build extension provide accommodation, business and leisure facilities for both travellers and the local community.
