Project Summary: The redevelopment of James Gillespie’s primary and high schools forms part of The City of Edinburgh Council’s (CEC) Wave 3 Schools Programme. Funding was identified in the CEC’s Capital & Investment Programme and through the Scottish Futures Trust (SFT). The campus is being redeveloped to provide a new gym and nursery accommodation for the primary school and a complete new high school. The site has a Grade ‘A’ Listed 16th Century tower house and landscape features, integrated into the new school design.
We were the lead consultant and single point of contact for the client and took the project from feasibility to RIBA Stage 4 prior to the design team being novated to HubSEast following which we remained the clients advisor and cost monitor and financial advisor.
