Client: The City of Edinburgh Council

Project: Refurbishment of climbing arena

Budget: Undisclosed

Services: Cost management

Project Summary: this unique facility is built around an existing quarry face and is home to Europe’s largest indoor climbing arena. The facility was originally progressed by a private client but went into administration part way through the construction period. Thomas and Adamson supported The City of Edinburgh Council with the due diligence and purchase. After many years of vacant decline, Thomas and Adamson scoped a multimillion pound completion package and subsequently delivered the works via construction management. The result is an award winning world recognised leisure facility. As well as climbing, the facility provides gym, retail, office and event/conference space.
